The most challenging aspect were the transitions I had to make: Zuber Khan on his character in ALTT’s Nagvadhu: Ek Zehreeli Kahani

MUMBAI: Zuber Khan will be seen in ALTT’s Nagvadhu: Ek Zehreeli Kahani as Pratap Singh, who is an undercover cop. He says his character has many shades, and it was challenging for him to make a transition from one to another; however, he managed to do it well.

Talking about his character, he said, “Pratap was a cop who was fired from his job. A naturally lecherous and womanizing character, he somehow ends up in the village of Bhujangraj. Upon discovering that the narrative of Bhujangraj and Nag Palace seems implausible, he resolves to investigate the truth, and uncovers Thakurain’s drug trade, using Sanvari and Abha. Despite his initial desire to be a part of it, he decides to join forces in hopes of apprehending the criminals, but ultimately perishes.”

“The most challenging aspect of the character were the transitions I had to make. This character has three shades: the undercover cop, the drunk flier, and the corrupted evil man who has pure intentions for the one he loves,” he added.

Speaking of the name of the show, Zuber said, “This is the tale of love, revenge, and secrets. It’s quite a secretive script, and the title justifies the storyline of the series.”

What about bold scenes in the show? “I was initially okay with the suggestive scenes. Recently, my series Shiddat Mohabbat Ki on Atrangi was a major hit, and it also had suggestive content. I was comfortable with the suggestions, but the way it was shot made me quite happy. Despite not having a single kiss scene, the intimate scenes came out beautifully. I thank the makers and the director, Jeetu sir,” he said.

The actor loves this part of his life and calls it a blessing. He even said that it is very easy to achieve fame but difficult to maintain it. He further said, “To stay in the race, you have to keep pushing yourself every day.”

“Life is all about keeping going and fighting for your own name. People love you, scream your name, and create fan clubs. Meeting your fans is great. However, the amount of hard work and time you have to invest in your craft is immense. Only an actor knows the depth of hard work behind it,” he ended.
