Reena Roy was born on the 7th of january, 1957. She was seen in the Bollywood industry fro the year 1972- 1985. She started her acting career in her early teens. She started off her career by acting for the ,ovie Naayi Duniya Naye Log' in the year 1973. She acted again in the year 1972 Zaroorrat. After a year she worked for Jaise Ko Taise. Where she danced on the song 'Abke Sawan' in the rain, she worked opposite Jeetendra and the song turned out to be very sensuous. After awaiting for a movie for two years, she worked for 'Kalicharan' in the year 1975. The movie 'Kalicharan' she co-starred Shatrughan Sinha and the duo was awarded for their performances. In the year 1978 she shot for Vishwanath, it was a blockbuster. After acting for so many movies she turned out to be quite successful and not to mention rich. After acting for 'Nagin' in the year 1976 she got an offer to act for the movie 'Jaani Dushman' in the year 1979. She won the Filmfare best supporting award for the movie 'Apnapan'. She rejected the award as she felt that she was the lead heroine of the film and not the supporting actress. Apart from movies she also had campaigned for the political party 'Indian Natonal Congress'. She was said to have an off- screen affair with Shatrugan Sinha however it turned out for the worse as he ended up marrying Poonam in 1981. Reena Roy had a tough competition with the up-coming actors of that time. They were none other than Hema Malini, Rekha and Zeenat Aman. But she kind of survived the competiton and still acted in almost another 13 movies. The actress has two sisters; Bharka and Anju and one brother Raja. It was also said that she was so absorbed by the fame and popularity that she wanted to marry Pakistani cricketer Mohsin Khan. She lost custody of her daughter Sanam, when she was divorced. When her ex- husband married her again she regained custody of her daughter. After a long break she returned to the industry after she appeared in the movie admi khilona hain in the year 1993. She was seen in the movie 'Refugee' in te year 2000.
