Barun Sobti who was born in a Punjabi family hails from Delhi where he also completed his schooling and graduation from. He can speak English, Hindi and Punjabi. The actor got married to his childhood sweetheart on 12th December 2010. This is also when he was shooting for his TV show Baat Hamari Pakki Hai hence, the actor would afford just a one day off for his wedding. Since, the time was limited he ended up having a very low profile marriage, in the presence of a few close friends and relatives. It was a simple ritualistic ceremony held at a Gurudwara. When he is not working Barun likes to spend time with his family, partying with friends and watching TV. On TV he watches Discovery, sports, reality shows and comedy shows. He has also admitted that he would love to be a part of an adventurous reality shows. He has also hosted 2012 Star Parivaar Awards. Before entering into entertainment industry he worked as an operation manager at Jindal Telecom for 7 years.
