Gear up for a funny ride...here comes sequel to Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron

Many movie buffs regard it as the funniest Hindi film ever. Now, Kundan Shah is ready to make a sequel to the zany timeless comedy <em>Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron</em> (JBDY) featuring Naseeruddin Shah and Ravi Baswani. Kundan says he has been toying with the idea of a sequel for some years now. The original film was released in 1983.With the passing away of Baswani, the idea seemed as good as dead. Then one heard that the sequel would feature a fresh young pair playing Naseer and Baswani’s roles.

Naseeruddin Shah in Kashyap's Bombay Velvet

After earlier worked together in films like That Girl In Yellow Boots and Michael, though as a producer, Naseeruddin Shah will again team up with Anurag Kashyap in Bombay Velvet that will star Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in the lead. KK will also play an important role in the film. Confirming the news Kashyap revealed that Naseer will play a significant role in the film though he didn’t want to tell anything else. The relations of Naseer and Kashyap go back a long way. It is said that when Kashyap used to fall short of money, the elder actor would always be supportive.

Vivek Agnihotri to make 3rd version of 12 Angry Men

Twenty six years after Basu Chatterji made the courtroom drama Ek Ruka Hua Faisla, Vivek Agnihotri, who was recently in the limelight for his film <em>Hate Story</em>, has decided to make the third edition of the film entitled 12. The original film <em>12 Angry Men</em> was directed by Sidney Lumet. Though the director tapped Amitabh Bachchan, Om Puri, Atul Kulkarni and Kay Kay Menon on the remake way back in 2009, no one was ready to fund an offbeat film then. All the studios, then, were inclined to put their money into commercial ventures.

Gurinder Chaddha's film on partition takes off in Delhi-Jodhpur
