MUMBAI: Disha Patani’s father, Jagdish Singh Patani, has officially received a weapons licence following a disturbing firing incident that took place outside the family’s residence in Bareilly.
The unexpected gunshots left the household alarmed, compelling Patani to take immediate measures to ensure the security of his family.
Authorities confirmed that the licence was granted after a thorough review of the incident and an assessment of the potential threat to the family.
According to local reports, the firing incident happened late in the evening near the entrance of the Patani home, prompting both neighbours and the family to alert the police.
While no one was injured, the occurrence raised concerns about the family’s safety.
Officials stated that the investigation revealed the firing was not accidental, which further strengthened the case for a self-defence license.
