First, we reported that UTV Motion Pictures, the makers of Ghanchakkar, had planned visits of lead pair Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan to a number of railway stations in Mumbai to promote their film.
A couple of days ago, we reported that Vidya Balan would hold kitty parties in three cities across India in her duty to promote the film.
Now, keeping in mind the mass appeal of their film, the makers have decided to shoot the video of one of the film’s songs Allah Meherban on the busy Western Express Highway. The song in question will feature Emraan Hashmi.
“Emraan has a huge fan base. During the previous shoots on real locations, crowd control was a major issue. So this time, we will be deploying a massive number of security personnel. An area of a radius of about three kilometres will be cordoned off too,” avers a source.
The makers are planning to shoot the song from 6 to 8 June. Although major portions will be filmed at night, some parts will be shot during the day as well. “We are avoiding shooting on the main highway because that would block traffic. But since the location is just off the busy road, people will be able to get a glimpse of the shoot, if not the actor as well,” adds the source.
When contacted, director Raj Kumar Gupta confirmed the news but preferred not to reveal the actual location of the shoot.
Ghanchakkar will hit theatres on 28 June 2013.
