Hansal Mehta to make a biopic on Sachin's brother Ajit Tendulkar

After the success of The Dirty Picture and more recently Bhaag Mikha Bhaag, making of biopics are in vogue. And to carry the league forward, Hansal Mehta, who earlier this year come out with a biopic based on the life of the slain lawyer Shahid Azmi titled Shahid, is in plans to make a biopic on Ajit Tendulkar, the elder brother of Sachin Tendulkar. It is well known that right from the beginning, Ajit has been instrumental in encouraging younger brother Sachin to follow his passion, who later rose to become the God of Cricket. According to whispers in the corridors of Bollywood, Hansal is very kicked about the project. His film will highlight the life of Ajit and his contribution to the making of Sachin. Said a source who didn’t want his name disclosed, “Though the film is not an absolute biopic on Sachin, it will focus on Ajit who has always silently supported his younger brother while remaining out of the headlines. And Hansal has planned to focus on Ajit’s highs and lows as he sees Sachin grow as a world renowned icon.” While we all believe that Sachin would have made an interesting subject for a biopic, looks like Hansal has found life of Ajit even more interesting.
