Varun Dhawan is all set to shed his chocolate boy image in his next, the violent and dark Badlapur. However, the young actor is mighty confident about the subject, the storyline and the cinematic reverence brought to it by Sriram Raghavan. And with Badlapur, Varun too hopes others too would be inspired to take up subject that are not the usual cliches that Bollywood dreams are made of.
"Badlapur is a small film. Infact, it is my smallest budget film till date. It's been made at a budget of 16 crore and an additional 8-9 crore have been spend on marketing and promotion. But I hope if this becomes successful, it will inspire others to follow. I think people today want to see different stuff in Bollywood."
While Varun will be seen portraying an angry self in the movie, the actor doesn't lose his cool easily in real life. "I don't get angry too easily. But yes when I become angry due to any situation, it will amplify to an unbelievable level."
While Badlapur has been shaping up well for Varun, news of him having been signed by Rohit Shetty opposite none other than SRK is making big waves. But when we congratulated and asked the actor to confirm the same, Varun blushed and said, "No comments."
No comments is a very good comment, we say.
