Indian cricket's living legend Sachin Tendulkar wants his last swan song to be short and brief. Talking at Musafir.com press conference yesterday, Sachin said he is thankful and humbled by all the love and respect he has received all throughout his career. “I thank you all for the love and respect you have given me. I would like to keep everything short and brief.”
Now that's the Sachin we know – a man who has always let his willow do the talking rather than his mouth.
Sachin was also anointed as the brand ambassador of travel portal Musafir.com at a glittering ceremony, yesterday afternoon. Speaking about his own travel experiences, Sachin said he has been fortunate to have travelled all across India and abroad owing to his cricketing career. The master blaster said that he always tries to take his children to places of historical significance like the Jallianwala Bagh. “I take my kids to these places so that they are acquainted with our history and culture.” When asked about the most memorable non-cricketing family vacation he has had, Sachin said, “It has to be Iceland. I felt very close to nature and also my credit card remained in my pocket as there was hardly anything to shop here.”
Now that the little master is retiring, we are sure that he will have a lot more time in hand to take his family out on vacations.
