Juhi Chawla's brother Bobby passes away

After being in coma for four long years, Sanjeev Chawla aka Bobby (as he was fondly nicknamed), actress Juhi Chawala’s elder brother, passed away, yesterday morning at Jaslok Hospital. Bobby who was the CEO of Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment, was dining at a restaurant in 2010 when tragedy struck in the form of brain hemorrhage. Bobby collapsed at the restaurant and was immediately rushed to a hospital where he remained in coma ever since. Juhi, who was attending KKR’s match in Kolkata, immediately flew down then to be by Bobby’s side. Despite rallying around the best medical help from across the globe, Bobby never came out of his comatose state. After Bobby's passed away yesterday, an inconsolably Juhi tweeted, “This is the perfect screenplay…look at how my brother timed it…He gave me the biggest gift of my lifetime…Saw its release…” Bobby was later cremated at Banganga Tank at Malabar hill in the evening. In attendance were all of Bobby’s close relatives and friends including his dear wife Anuradha. Shah Rukh Khan made it a point to fly down immediately from Chennai where he was attending Rajnikanth’s Kochadaiyaan’s music launch. Shah Rukh who was extremely close to Bobby, remembered him warmly in this tweet: When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure…May Allah bless my friend’s soul. Bollywood was represented at the funeral in large numbers. Spotted were Deepika Padukone, Farah Khan, Anubhav Sinha, Madhoo among others. May Bobby’s soul rest in peace.
