When a ravishing Katrina Kaif walked into the lobby of a five star hotel yesterday evening to announce her partnership with L’oreal Paris, all eyes and lens palpably followed the feline grace that the lady left in her trail. Post the super success of Dhoom 3, this was Katrina’s first public appearance. And Katrina’s face did seem to radiate an iridescent glow, which we felt had much to do with her alleged patch-up with rumoured beau Ranbir Kapoor. However, Katrina seemed to be in no mood to enthrall the press with quotes on Ranbir or delve into matters other than L’Oreal. She, in fact conveniently ignored all Ranbir related questions addressed to her until emcee Sameer Kochhar jumped in and requested to the media to limit their questions to the brand she was endorsing.
Talking about L’Oreal, Katrina said, “I am extremely happy and honoured to be joining the L’Oreal Paris family. There is a famous statement “That we are worth it.” This statement celebrates the fact that women are free, they are independent and that is what L’Oreal Paris is all about for me and that is what it stands for. I am extremely happy to be joining them and I am looking forward to a very long, fruitful and fun association with them.”
Praising L’Oreal as the number one beauty product, Katrina said that she was looking forward to learning more about them and would be visiting their research lab soon.
When asked about the Central Consumer Protection Council’s decision of holding celebrities liable for endorsing faulty products, Katrina said, “I don’t know much about the law. But if such a law has been passed it’s a good thing, since it will enforce quality and make sure that the celebrity is careful while endorsing a particular product. Personally, I have always been careful while endorsing products. If I am not familiar with the brand, then I don’t endorse it. It is important for me that the product I endorse should deliver on its promise.”
The questions on her limited role in Dhoom 3 were met with a straight bat. “I take it as a compliment that people wanted to see more of me in the film. Next time when I do a film, I will see to it that I do more stuff.”
Finally when asked if she would like to gift any of these beauty products to any single actress in Bollywood, Katrina said, “Why one? I would like to gift it to all actresses in Bollywood.”
Now that’s what we call Being Human, Katrina!
