When did you come to know that you will be a part of the SLB film?
I don’t know how many auditions I gave for the film. It was like one will lose hope and revive back, it was that kind of situation. There were a series of auditions I gave for the film like shortlist, look test, and photoshoot. It was a normal phone call that I got from Sanjay sir's office saying that I have been selected and when can you come for the next round of auditions. I went blank when I heard that and thought is it really happening because I never expected it really happen. So yes, this is how I make to know about the film.
So, what kind of responses are you getting for your character?
I am so overwhelmed with the responses I am getting from the audience. I really didn’t expect that everyone will be appreciating it and there was no one who are saying bad about the film. There is a lot of hard work that goes into making a film like this. I am loving all the comments I am getting for the film.
How was your experience of working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali?
He is an amazing director. He is a genius. I always feel that I am falling short of words when I am describing him because he is that kind of personally. He is amazing to work with. He is so passionate and he knows how to get things out from the actors.
Indeed, the film has been getting a good response from the audience and the film critics. What do you have to say about Shantanu Maheshwari's performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi? Do let us know in the comment section.
