MUMBAI: Dedicated followers of the movie series have been eager to see Raju, Shyam, and Baburao together again since the announcement of Hera Pheri 3. Priyadarshan said, as cited by the popular news portal, “I cannot engage in familiar territory; it stifles my creativity. That’s why I declined the offer for Hera Pheri 2. My days with Hera Pheri are behind me. For me, that chapter is closed. Akshay and I have explored numerous comedic ventures, both together and individually. Now, I’m eager for us to venture into uncharted territory. Hence, we’re refining the script.”

Priyadarshan revealed additional information about the spooky thriller to Akshay Kumar, “Although the concept is brilliant, I felt there were areas that needed refinement. The film can be best described as a supernatural thriller where the audience will be kept guessing until the very end whether there’s a ghostly presence or not. It’s uncharted territory for both Akshay and me.”

Hera Pheri 3 continues on Raju, Shyam, and Baburao's humorous antics as they are carried away on a humorous but perilous voyage full of mysteries, mishaps, and solving crimes.

Celebrated Indian filmmaker, screenwriter, and producer Priyadarshan is most recognized for his work in Malayalam cinema, although he has also made a big impact on Bollywood and other regional Indian film industries. Priyadarshan is best known for his comedic films, but he has directed over 95 films in a variety of genres during his career, which spanned many decades beginning in the early 1980s.

One of Priyadarshan's most well-known and prosperous Bollywood productions, "Hera Pheri," has grown to become a cult classic over time. "Hera Pheri," a comedy-drama that debuted in 2000, stars Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, and Akshay Kumar in important acting roles. The 1971 film "See The Man Run" influenced the 1989 Malayalam film "Ramji Rao Speaking," which was adapted into this movie.

The plot of "Hera Pheri" follows three struggling people with distinct personalities and eccentricities as they become caught in a hilarious chain of events following a prank call from a kidnapper. The movie masterfully conveys the spirit of Mumbai's everyday hustle and weaves it into a humorous story that culminates in a series of mishaps and a sincere attempt to make amends.
