MUMBAI: Before and after the release, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has been mired in several controversies. It seems the controversy surrounding the films is not ready to die down so early. The film once again has grabbed headlines.
Well, Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli has slammed Mini Mathur for mocking a fan.
So, what happened exactly? As we all know how Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer recently released Gully Boy has been receiving rave reviews. Both common people and celebrities are pouring in their love on the film through social media.
Mini Mathur too liked the film. She took to her social media page to share her review of the film.
Her tweet read, “I never knew I could get goosebumps on the soles of my feet.. Gullyboy has made 2019 worthwhile already for me. #bhothhard #Gullyboy @RanveerOfficial @aliaa08 #ZoyaAkhtar @ankurtewari.”
On seeing the tweet, one of the social media users bashed Mini for not watching Manikarnika, which released before Gully Boy.
The follower wrote, "@minimathur ur thinking also so mini..u got time to watch #GullyBoy n not a single word for #manikarnikaqueenofjhansi ..be equal to everyone dont be bias".
Mini replied by writing, "Oh I apologise to you profusely as I haven’t seen that film yet. And as the official national film critic it is my humble duty to write on every film By the way, how was the experience of making the film?"
This angered Rangoli. She wrote to Mini, “Its nt evry film @minimathur its d legnd f LaxmiBai, one f d bst period films evr made she’s no ordnry succes stry she’s d vry embodimnt of Bharat Mata if u faild 2 aprciat anodr womns effrts 2 bring dis gigantic conciousnes alive on big screen den dnt b coky bout it its nt funny."
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is based on the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi. Starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead role, the film released on 25 January 2019. The film received positive reviews from audience.
