There was never a shred of doubt that TV actress Surveen Chawla is hot. But boldness was not something one associated with Surveen. Not till the poster of Hate Story 2 was released yesterday. Jaws dropped when the makers (T-series) launched the poster and the trailer of the movie yesterday. The super bold poster shows a topless Surveen with just a white sheet covering her rear, sitting on a bed with her naked back exposed, a gun in her left hand and eyes seductively staring to kill. The bold Surveen had definitely arrived, we thought.
The actress too wasn't quite coy while taking our queries about her new bold avatar. When we asked her if she had any apprehensions while signing for such a role, a confident Surveen said, "I have to give myself a lot of credit for I took it up as a challenge to become far more comfortable with my own sexuality and sensuality through this movie. It was challenge to get comfortable with myself and break any blocks that I had in mind. And yes I am very comfortable with scenes like kissing onscreen."
The movie which is a sequel to Paoli Dam starrerHate Story has already been creating waves on YouTube because of a racy song featuring Surveen Chawla and Jay Bhanushali where the two can be seen indulging in a passionate lip lock. While actresses who have played bold roles have often got typecast in Bollywood, Surveen sees no such threat to her career post Hate Story 2. "I don't understand why exactly this is termed as bold. When actresses in Hollywood do it, we applaud them but when we do it, it is seen as bold. That is hypocrisy on our part. What is bold? And it is not as if like after the so-called bold roles, the actress cannot act in any other different movie. It is not as if she doesn't have the capability or talent."
While Paoli Dam had upped the sex quotient by several notches with her dare bare act, Surveen refused to allow any comparisons to be drawn with Paoli. When asked if she is trying to break the sex quotient of Paoli, Surveen said, "I am not here to do that. I focused on my role in the movie. I have waited long for this moment and happy that the film is up and ready for release now."
Hate Story is being helmed by Vishal Pandya this time and will release in the month of September.
