Twitter abuzz with Asha Parekh's death hoax rumours

Asha Parekh became the latest victim of Twitter's death hoax rumours. The veteran actress who is rarely seen in the public eye and had last spoken to the media after actress Nanda's death, was falsely declared dead on Twitter by some miscreant. Unfortunately, senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai unwittingly tweeted the false news thinking it to be true. "Nanda and Asha Parekh pass away in same week," tweeted Rajdeep. Given his standing and followers, the news spread like wildfire prompting Asha's manager to issue a statement stating that actress is fine. Rajdeep immediately apologised for his Twitter gaffe. "Deep apologies; now told my info on Ms Parekh passing away is wrong. Picked it up from a tweet. Apologies to all and esp to her. Big lesson learnt: apologies again. Will be much much more careful," wrote Rajdeep. All's well that ends well, we say. After all, to err is human and even scribes can go wrong at times.
