Rani Mukerji thrashes pregnancy rumours

A city tabloid set a cat among the pigeons this morning when it published a news report on Rani Mukerji which cleverly asked the question -Is the stork visiting Rani? The reason for such a surmise was the unusual physical appearance of Rani on the sets of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. The report stated that Rani was helped out by Madhuri & Co and was also handed a pillow to rest her back while sitting on the chair. Further, the report claimed that Rani asked to be clicked from a particular angle that highlighted a particular profile of the actress. Also there were reports of she having visited a medical facility for a check up which further fuelled the rumours. The reportage doesn't seem to have gone down well with Rani. In a detailed statement issued by her publicist, Rani & Co requested one and all to refrain themselves from making any such conjectures. "We were astonished to know of false information doing the rounds on Ms. Mukerji. She is suffering from a severe case of viral fever and with great difficulty she went ahead with her prior commitment to visit the sets of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa as part of promotions of Mardaani and completed all that was required of her on set. Her sheer professionalism is what made it possible for her to shoot. Request you to not resort to unnecessary conjecture." Well, let's hope Rani recovers from this bout of fever very soon.
