Fremantle India to come up with a cop-based show for Life OK
Fremantle Media, the successful and renowned production house has catered to the taste of audiences of all ages with their gripping and interesting reality shows. Makers of the super-successful Indian Idol series, X-Factor India, Savdhan India, India’s Got Talent, Aamna Saamna, Fremantle will now lay their hands on fiction. As per well-placed sources, Fremantle is working on an action and stunt-based fiction show for Life OK. The show will be based on cops and will have few permanent characters, apart from the rich episodic casting. The series will be aired on a seasonal basis, with the channel already granting and allotting a certain number of episodes to the maker. Life OK as a channel has had a brilliant two years run, and is also threatening major GECs like Colors and Zee TV to go up the GRP ladder. With many interesting concepts lined up for future, the channel is surely on road to come up as a champion. This fiction show, coming from Fremantle is to be placed to make their weekend slot powerful. The show is touted to be a big one for the channel. To give the concept a great impetus, the maker and channel are looking for big Bollywood names to play the main cops on the show. A reliable source gave us some valuable information. “Biggies like Dino Morea, Sharman Joshi and many more have been approached for the lead roles. Things are still at the nascent stage, and there are some big plans in the pipeline for the show.” We dropped a text message to Anupama Mandloi, Content Head, Fremantle Media, but did not get any revert. We also sent a text message to Ajit Thakur, General Manager, Life OK but got no reply. Watch this space for more exclusive updates.
