When Neha Marda got hit by a belt for real

Neha Marda
Neha Marda is one methodical actor who gets happy when her character is happy, and feels sad when Urmi is in pain. Yes, this is exactly how Neha Marda, the protagonist of Zee TV’s Doli Armaanon Ki (Spellbound Productions) prepares for her role. And what’s more? She actually goes through whatever her character does in real life too. The most shocking example being the one where she got herself hit by a belt to justify what Urmi was going through when her husband Samrat (Mohit Malik) beat her. Yes, this may sound crazy, but the actress did so to get into the skin of her character. Confessed Neha, “I did not know how it feels to get hit by a belt, but I had to bring out the emotion and pain. So I asked a few of my friends to hit me with a belt.” That’s insane. Isn’t it? “I wouldn’t have known how to react otherwise,” said Neha justifying her stand. Furthermore, she told us that she is so much into her character that she hardly manages to talk to anyone, not even to her husband. “I’ve been staying away from my husband, so our conversations are mostly on phone. But I fail to be alert on phone because I am just not relaxed. Somehow my mind does not let me get relaxed. So, my conversations with my mother, husband or anyone close to me ends up in a ‘hi’ and a ‘bye’,” stated Neha. You are missing out on your personal life that way. “Yes, I am missing out a lot of it, but that’s my loyalty towards my job,” she concluded. Now there’s someone who is taking work really seriously.
