Rani Mukerji who is on a promotional sprees was recently in Gujarat to promote her new film, Mardaani. Here among the many people Rani met the most important one happened to be Gujarat's first woman chief minister, Anandiben Patel.
Rani who believes that Anandiben Patel is a real inspiration for the women of this country reportedly spent time with the Chief Minister and spoke to her at length about the various issues surrounding women, some of them being safety, education and overall well being. Rani is also believed to have expressed her wish to be able to help them in whichever way possible as far as their women oriented campaigns go.
Confirmed Rani, "The Chief Minister is an actual Mardaani. The kind of work she is doing for women is inspiring. She has made so many changes for women police force and women in general, it's amazing.”
CM Anandiben, on her part, congratulated the actress for making a film as inspiring and strong as Mardaani.
Post her meet with the CM, Rani was flooded with questions of whether Mardaani would be given a tax-exemption in Gujarat to which Rani replied, “I don't have to request the Chief Minister to make it tax free. If the CM likes our film, then she would make it tax free."
Mardaani opens in cinema screens this Friday.
