Ala re ala, Govinda ala: TV actors share their Janmashtami plans

TV actors share their Janmashtami plans
Today is Janmashtami, the auspicious day when our little Kanha (Lord Krishna) was born. In an interaction with Tellychakkar.com, TV celebrities share on how they plan to celebrate this auspicious day. Romit Raj: Janmashtami is a very special occasion and we celebrate it on a grand scale. Since childhood I have been worshipping Lord Krishna and have been hearing his remarkable stories. Last year my beautiful daughter Reha dressed as Krishna and this year she dressed in Radha’s attire. I have Krishna’s idol since six years now and to celebrate his birthday we had a bhajan and pooja last night. With pooja there were 36 different types of delicacies and Kanha’s favourite makhan (butter) was cooked. Giaa Maanek: Unlike every day I woke up early and helped mom for Janmashtami preparations. We had a small puja to celebrate Kanha’s birthday. Today there was proper puja where we bathe the little Kanha idol with rose water and decked with new clothes and jewellery. We also devoted sweets, makhan and fruits and sung devotional songs. In the evening we have bhajan mandli coming over at my place. Jay Soni: Janmashtami is one of my favourite festivals. Back in school days I used to participate in Dahi Handi but after hurting myself during one such stint, I stopped. Now I just enjoy watching the activity. Since I was shooting, I could not take part in the puja last night. But in the morning mom decorated the house and mandir with flowers, placed Kanha in a cradle and worshipped. Vrinda Dawda: We had Janmashtami celebrations at night. We bathed Bal Gopal and adorned him with new clothes and jewellery. This time we decorated the mandir with lights and we placed toys in front of Kanha. Mom made motichur ladoos and other sweets. I will have a good sight from my window and watch Dahi Handi. Apara Mehta: Due to my busy shooting schedule I don’t get time to do lot of preparations but my mom does a bit of it. Being an actor all your festivals are celebrated on sets and this year too I celebrated Janmashtami on the sets of Jamai Raja. Tellychakkar.com wishes all its readers a very Happy Janmashtami. Enjoy!!!
