I feel Hindi television still has a long way to go: Ragini Khanna

Ragini Khanna
The gorgeous actress Ragini Khanna is all set to host a norm breaker game show, Dil Hain Chotasa Choti Si Asha on Sony PAL. The show will be a unique game show featuring charismatic women contestants who will bring to fore their emotional and inspiring stories. What is the show about? Dil Hai Chotasa Choti Si Aasha is a game show which is the only one of its kind. It will feature charismatic women contestants who will bring forth their emotional & inspiring stories. The concept of the game show is made for women so as to provide the ladies in need a chance to attain the necessary financial aid to set up a business of their own or fund a dream that will enhance their quality of life. How was it sharing screen space with Jay Soni - you are the live wire, he comes across as the shy person-perfect foil for each other as anchors? It’s great working with him again. It’s always great when you work with people who know you. There is great comfort level and give and take and we understand each other's quirks. You've acted, you've anchored - what do you enjoy doing more and why? I enjoy acting more...anchoring gives me a chance to connect with different people and also at the same time, be visible on the medium that I love the most. How has your TV journey been like? My TV journey has been full of experiences and variety. Form fiction to nonfiction be it participating or hosting etc. Currently, I don’t find any of the fiction shows exciting enough for the amount of time it takes. I might give fiction shows a shot only if something worthwhile comes along. Actors these days are juggling between two main mediums - TV and Films - do you think actors want a finger in every pie? Different actors have different priorities, liking and ambition. TV gives you an opportunity to work on a regular basis whereas being a part of a movie gives you the added satisfaction on seeing yourself on the 70mm screen. At the end of the day, it’s everybody’s personal choice I would say. Content on TV has undergone a major change. Your comment. I don’t think in general it has gone under a major change as you still get to see the same old saas-bahu kind of content. Talking about Sony PAL I could definitely say that the channel has come up with different kind of content which revolves around various different special PALs in a woman’s life. In spite of saying this, I feel Hindi television still has a long way to go. What next? As of now I’m happy being a part of Dil Hai Chota Sa Choti Si Aasha as I feel that being a part of such a show that provides fuel to the dreams of many is a complete honour and a blissful experience.
