Celebrities and their love for Diwali delicacies

Diwali, the ‘festival of lights’ is all about bonding with friends and family and celebrating it with all joy and happiness. Every foodie waits for this festival as they get to enjoy variety of delicacies.

Tellychakkar.com talks to the celebrities about the yummy dishes they would want to savour and enjoy this Diwali.

Divyanka Tripathi:

I like Gujiya on Diwali. At my home town we have dinner with all our relatives. My mom and chichi (aunt) prepare the special dinner. My mom also makes yummy Dahi Bhalle on Diwali. But here in Mumbai I have a quick dinner with my friends and we have Pizzas and Pastas.

Suyyash Kumar:                                  

Diwali is the festival of sweets, but as I am on a diet I mostly don’t eat them. My mom makes good Kaali Dal and rice on Diwali. I love Tandoori Chicken, so I go out and eat it because we don’t prepare non- veg at our house on Diwali. 

Adhvik Mahajan:

I make it a point to enjoy all festivals with my family. This Diwali I am in Punjab, here the weather is awesome. On Diwali I have Makkai Di Roti and Sarso Da Saag. In sweets I love Rasgulla and Ladoo.

Darshan Pandya:

Diwali is the festival where we eat variety of mouth-watering dishes. I specially have Gujarati dishes that is Jalebi, Patra and Dhokla.

Vrinda Dawda:

On Diwali sweets keep pouring in from all around. When we were in school we used to wait for Diwali because we used to bring home-made Diwali snacks like Chakli, Gujiya, Sakar Padi etc and would share with our friends. I cherish those memories.

Kanan Malhotra:

I like Bundi Ke Ladoo to the core. I can eat kilos of ladoos at one time. I even like Rasmalai. These two are my favourite sweets during Diwali.

Maninee Mishra:

I like the Bengali sweet Sondesh  and Mathura Ka Peda. My mom is from North, so people in that area have this dish call Taheri

Ajay Chaudhary:

I will celebrate Diwali with my wife and mother-in-law in Mumbai, my parents won’t be able to come. I love Sev Barfi during Diwali.
