Rahul Mahajan Ka Swayamvar

Guess it should now be renamed as Swayamvadhu. With Rahul Mahajan on the search for the perfect bride its good news for all the girls who dreamt of having Rahul as their husband. Yes, it’s almost certain that Rahul will have a swayamvar (if you can call it that!). The Bigg Boss 2 contestant will soon have a Swayamvar, where he will choose his life partner. The show that will air on NDTV imagine is expected to create the same magic as Rakhi’s Swayamvar. A source informs, “The channel is selecting the perfect 16 brides who are willing to become Mrs Mahajan and will compete with each other to marry Rahul. The channel is also planning to unveil them to the media in the last week of September. The show produced by SOL is expected to come on air somewhere in mid December.” The source continues, “Well this Swayamvar had been planned well in advance much around the same time when Rakhi’s swayamvar was planned. The channel wanted to have Mallika Sherawat in place of Rakhi Sawant, but could not afford her because she came with a heavy price tag. So they approached Rakhi and now that Rahul too is as famous as Rakhi he has been considered for Season 2. The production house had approached Rahul soon after they approached Rakhi. Rahul was in two minds about the show but after seeing the Rakhi Ka Swayamvar he agreed to be part of the show.” Rahul who is a divorcee now was married to Shweta Singh, a pilot with Jet Airways in 2006. Sadly the marriage lasted only for 15 months as Shweta filed for divorce accusing Rahul of physical abuse and mental torture. Rahul was later linked to Payal Rohatgi who was also a contestant with him in Bigg Boss. Well all we hope for this time is that the viewers do not feel cheated as they did when Rakhi only got engaged and now they do get to witness the big fat wedding!
