India and Pakistan are enemies for ages now. Though there are elements of animosity between the juntas on both the sides, cinema is one aspect that transcends boundaries and connects separated hearts. And now with TV shows also crossing boundaries, it seems the days of friendly relations between the two countries are quite close.
TV actor Aditya Singh Rajput (Gumrah, Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya) is one guy who has a special connect with Pakistan. Although a lot many stars from Pakistan have been part of Indian projects, it’s rare to see our actors moving there.
And Aditya seems like an exception. Having shot for more than 13 advertisements in the neighbouring country, the actor will soon pair up with Humaima Malik for an interesting TV commercial. Humaima recently appeared in Raja Natwarlal opposite Emran Hashmi.
Shares Aditya, “It's always amazing to work for Pakistan brands, thanks to Haris Quader, who produces the biggest commercials there. He is actually more like family to me. The project is directed by Australian Director Jeff, so actually three countries have merged together for this project.”
Since most shoots happen outdoor, we asked the actor about his experience.
“I take it as a great work cum holiday treat. Also, contrary to beliefs, actors in both countries share quite a beautiful relationship and we work with great respect together. Since most shoots happen in Bangkok, it’s a lot fun shooting.”
Talking about Humaima, Aditya said, “She is a very chilled out person, very easy going and I actually had a blast shooting with her. Since she is also working on two Bollywood projects, I feel such ventures help bring the countries together.”
That’s a great thought, Aditya!
