In BCL, people will get to see a different side of me - Dimple Jhangiani

The girl is known to be a sweetheart, a bubbly young soul, but now Dimple Jhangiani is all set to touch upon a different side of hers as she gears up for a powerful time in the upcoming Box Cricket League (BCL). The first of a kind sports reality show produced by Balaji Telefilms for Sony Entertainment Television will have more than 150 players teaming up as eight teams for the league. Dimple is part of Nivedita Basu’s Kolkata Baabu Moshaye and is completely excited to showcase her cricketing skills on the field. Shares Dimple, “I am known to be the cute, chirpy girl who is always on the lookout for masti, but people will surely get to see the other side of me in BCL. People will now get to know that I have a serious sportsperson in myself. The competition is a serious one although it’s a reality show. We are practicing really hard and hope to clinch the trophy. The practice matches have been going quite well and I really hope we do as well in the ‘real’ competition.” Talking about her association with cricket, the girl quips, “I simply love cricket and make it a point to at least follow the IPL. Whenever there’s a match at DY Patil, I make it a point to go there with my friends and enjoy the match. I am also in love with Virat Kohli (winks), so there is a special connection for sure.” The picture of Dimple bowling with her high heels on, really sparked us. Ask her about it and she informs, “That was for our promotional event in Kolkata. But having practiced well with my team, I can now easily bowl in heels. You won’t believe I actually clean bowled the batsman that day (smiles).” And finally on the strongest player in her team, she states, “Everyone is a strong player and I really love my team. Since I had started my career with Nivedita, I really wanted to get back with her. The spirit of the team is really high and we have a lot of fun shooting for the same.” Well Dimple, wish you great luck!!!
