Deven Verma, well-known for his comic roles in films like Chori Mera Kaam and Angoor passed away today around 2 am in Pune due to reported cardiac arrest and kidney failure. The actor was 78.
It is reported that the actor will be cremated at Yerwada crematorium in Pune at noon.
Deven was born and raised in Pune and had acted in a plethora of Hindi films. His innate sense of comic timing and innocent voice made him an instant hit among the masses. Chori Mera Kaam clinched him a Filmfare Award for best actor in a comic role. He has acted in Marathi and Bhojpuri movie and directed a Hindi movie named Besharam starring Amitabh Bachchan and Sharmila Tagore.
RIP Deven Verma. You will be missed.
