Nitin Keni is a real visionary. At the helm of affairs in Essel Vision now, Nitin has grand plans of getting associated with mainstream commercial films in a big way. And he feels the era of big studios in India will come to an end soon. "Studio models have failed in India and very soon their era will come to an end. Take a look at these big studios. They have at least four to five films lying unreleased. Money has sunk in but no profit has been made. The same will not reflect in their profit and loss statement because they don't want to show them as loss making companies."
Essel Vision will now be associated with producers right from the beginning of their projects and have inked a three film deal with Sanjay Gupta's White Feather Productions. "We will be associated right from the very beginning instead of coming somewhere in the middle like a studio."
Jazba will be the first film that Essel Vision has partnered with Sanjay to produce. "We loved the script. It was something different and we decided to associate ourselves with Sanjay for the same."
Nitin also feels it's time for superstars of our country to reinvent and start making different movies. "It's time to start making different content and we will be associating with meaningful and good cinema that can make a difference."
Cheers to this Jazba, we say.
