Sehban gets talking about love, heartbreaks, Humsafars and more...

Sehban Azim

The suave and sexy Sehban Azim is not only good looking, but also super talented. He has been quite lucky with his projects that have gone on to do really well. The actor is currently gaining quite a number of eyeballs with Sony Entertainment Television’s Humsafars (4 Lions),the tragic love triangle between a girl and two brothers.

Having portrayed emotional scenes with élan, Sehban is on a high. “I am actually surprised that people are enjoying the scenes so much. I am glad that the creatives have churned out such interesting tracks that we as actors get to enjoy performing.”

When we asked Sehban whether he ever had to face a situation where he and his brothers or friends fell in love with the same person, he shared, “Yes, it has happened and I was left heartbroken. I am not someone who would snatch away someone from their love so sacrificed my feelings but was depressed for months.”

Talking about the true meaning of love, the actor said, “I think love has different forms. Love for family is there from the time one is born. Then while growing up, we love our friends unconditionally even though we don’t even understand the true meaning of love, and as one grows up physical attraction and passion takes over. I think it is one of the most important needs and is something very beautiful.”

“Also, the love of viewers is really important to actors. And I am humbled to get so much of it from across the world. I think the best award for an actor is when people appreciate his work and that’s how one grows as an actor,” added Sehban.

Though he has been showered with appreciation, we asked him whether the low TRP numbers disappoint him. “Yes it does a bit but I don’t think Humsafars was ever made for TRPs. It is young, stylish and a different drama, not the typical ones that is on TV right now. I think all of us knew how the numbers would be.”

The actor also has never appeared as a lead in shows, we asked whether the New Year will see him grab some ‘lead’ opportunities. “I am not someone who is greedy about leads as creative satisfaction as an actor is my priority. I don’t want to just stand in a frame with women around for the sake of being called the lead. I would any day do significant roles where my capabilities can stand out.”

We hope you have a brighter year ahead, Sehban!
