Ever wondered why Bollywood A-listers are not frequently seen together in movies anymore? Akshay Kumar has an answer. According to Khiladi Kumar, there is no unity in our industry which makes it difficult for all A-listers of Bollywood to come together.
Akshay who has been a part of many multi starrers with A-list actors in the past, is hardly seen sharing screen space with the top actors of our industry and vice versa. When asked the reason behind A-listers shying away from working with each other, a frank Akshay replied, " There is no unity in Bollywood. If you look down south, there is a lot of unity among top actors there. It doesn't happen here."
Akshay however refused to pinpoint a reason behind this lack of unity. Akshay's co-star from Baby, Anupam Kher was far more forthcoming. When we asked Anupam on whether he too feels the same, the veteran actor said, "Yes, I agree with Akshay to an extent. We don't applaud each other’s work unlike how it happens in the West. People here are happy about themselves only. In a lot of cases, people have got success when they don't deserve it."
Anupam also threw light on the insecurity that exists among actors of today's generation. "Feelings are no longer the same as it used to be in olden days. The friendship of Dilip saab, Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand are legendary. Today everybody is so lonely. We are more like animals in a jungle, wary of each other at all moments."
Well looks like there is no unity in diversity present in Bollywood.
