In this stand-up comedy riot, Johny Lever mimics, spoofs and meets celebrities in his own inimitable style every week from Monday to Wednesday at 10.00 pm. Speaking on the launch of the serial in Delhi on Tuesday, Ashvini Yardi, programming head, Zee TV said, "Johny Aala Re is laughter personified. The viewers are in for a treat with this one. Johny Lever is a comedian par excellence. The best part is, he makes you laugh by just being around. We have also lined up some lively celebrities that go with the flavor of the show. Johny will meet them in his own comical manner, ensuring that the audiences are in splits, rolling in the aisles." Akashdeep and Sheeba's Cinetek Telefilms Private Ltd is producing the show. The half an hour of rib tickling show divided into segments is King-Com's first ever TV show. The first segment has a topical stand up by Johny. Then there are skits where he takes on the disguise of popular personalities. The 'Main Bhi Johny' segment asks the common man to come up and showcase his talent in booths set up on the streets. Besides the fixed segments, there are a few floating segments such as a parody of songs, topical spoofs, and mimicry Johny style. The set is also very unique with a street ambience that has cars parked with people seated in them.
