Actor Abhijit Lahiri will go on to essay his third consecutive ‘Marwari’ role in Colors’ upcoming show, Swaragini, produced by Rashmi Sharma Productions.
Yes, after playing one in Colors’ popular show Balika Vadhu, the man went on to don the role of Daddaji in Star Plus’ successful show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and continues to do so even now.
Now in the Colors show, he will play the patriarch of the very orthodox and conservative Rajasthani Marwari family for whom his principles would hold utmost importance. He will be the father of the male protagonist, essayed by Sachin Tyagi.
When contacted, Abhijit confirmed the news, but refused to talk further.
The teaser of Swaragini has gone on air from yesterday, and will launch sometime in March.
