Telly Celebs: Marriage means more romance

It is often said that marriage kills the romance in a relationship. But these five television stars, happily married, don't believe in that. In fact, tying the knot has made life even more romantic for these couples. Here, they take time off from their busy schedules to answer our Valentine’s Day-related questions. Take a look: Rishina Kandhari: My husband Vishal and I are checking into a five-star to celebrate the occasion. We will spend our weekend on the rooftop, sipping wine, cutting a cake and enjoying long, leisurely meals. When we asked her about the best surprise she has given or received from her partner, she said, "Vishal surprised me one V-Day with diamond jewellery. He came to my set with a cake, flowers and jewellery. My reaction was dramatic. I was so happy and overwhelmed, I started shouting!" We also asked her to give special message to her partner, she replied, "I want to tell Vishal that I will love him till my last breath." While talking about her special message, we wanted to know her Idea of perfect gift from partner as well, she said, "His understanding, love and support. That is all I need." Does marriage dampen romance? "I don’t think so. It depends on the bonding and understanding between the two." Jay Soni What is your V-Day celebration plans? "I haven't planned anything yet, but I will keep it simple and sweet." When we asked him about the best surprise he has given or received from his partner, he said, "Last year, I had surprised my wife Pooja with a Dubai trip on February 18, which is our wedding anniversary. Initially, she didn’t even believe that I was serious about the trip." A special message would he like to give Pooja..."I want to thank Pooja for loving me and accepting me the way I am." What's his Idea of perfect gift from his wife? "Unconditional love is the best gift." Lastly, Does marriage dampen romance? "Not at all. For us, real romance began after marriage." Himmanshoo Ashok Malhotra We wanted to know the dashing actor's V-Day plans, he was more than happy to share them with us. "I haven’t planned anything yet, but it would be nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city." When we asked him about the best surprise he has given or received from his partner, he said," I surprise Amrutha ever year, so I want her to return the favour this time. A couple of years ago, I took Amrutha, who was then my girlfriend to a hotel in the city. I had already decorated the room with flowers, candles and a collage of our photographs together. She was so thrilled, she started jumping around. The venue was special as that’s where we had first met, while participating in a reality show." On this occasion, is there any special message that he would like to give his partner? "I want to tell her that I will be with her through thick and thin. There will be good times and bad, but I will stand by you." What's his idea of perfect gift from his wife? "The ideal gift would be home-cooked food. I have lived a bachelor’s life for so long, there is nothing I want more than ghar ka khana” We do hope his wifey dear is reading this... Does marriage dampen romance? "I have been married only for a couple of weeks, so I may not be the right person to answer this. But so far, it feels the same." Janvi Vora: The pretty lady's V-Day plans seem really cute. She said, "I am planning a special dinner with Ritesh, where a live musician will belt out romantic numbers." When we asked her about the best surprise she has given or received from her partner, she said, "I gifted Ritesh a car and he surprised me with a solitaire in a wine glass. Both of us were left speechless by each other’s gestures." What special message would she like to give her hubby? "I want Ritesh to know that with him, every day is Valentine’s Day for me." So awww, eh? And if she wanted something excited this year from her husband, what would that be? "I want to start a business, so the ideal gift would be helping me with that!" Does marriage dampen romance? "We are as romantic now as we were before our wedding. Nothing has changed." Gaurav S. Bajaj: How have you planned to woo your wife this V-Day? "I am taking my wife Vanshika to Goa." When we asked him about the best surprise he has given or received from his partner, he said, "I recently surprised her by decorating the garden area with rose petals. She was so touched, she started crying." A special message that he would like to give his wife, "I want to tell Vanshika that I am madly in love with her. She is my best friend, worst critic and biggest support. She means everything to me." What's his Idea of a perfect gift? "Spending quality time together." Isn't the cute? Does marriage dampen romance? "No way. Ours is going to be a lifelong romance. I am sure of that." Touchwood to that.
