Controversial rapper Honey Singh made an appearance in the serene Nagpur city for a different reason. He had a date with the local cops in relation to a FIR that was registered against him for obscenity.
The case was filed by Anandpal Singh Gurnam who held grouse against Honey Singh for having uploaded alleged obscene songs of his on social networking platforms. Anandpal's complaint was reportedly not taken seriously but the police which prompted him to move the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) under Section 156 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC). The Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court directed Honey Singh to be present at the Police Station by March 2.
Honey's presence in the celebrity starved police station in Nagpur resulted in him being accorded a celeb status, reports Nagpur Today. The rapper was reportedly much in demand and even clicked pictures with the cops at their request. Honey spent around 10 minutes in the police station completing the formalities and left soon after.
Honey has been out of commission ever since he left Happy New Year's world tour midway. The singer's latest number Birthday Bash was released last week in Dilliwaali Zaalim.
