The true-to-life show which has completed about 250 episodes has been focusing on life saving messages for children and mothers. Kyunki… which airs on DD National is watched by over 125 million viewers across India. And as the story gets more engaging the upcoming episodes will feature the marriage of Shabnam (essayed by Geeta Bisht) and dhabawala Imraan. The marriage will take place amidst a lot of masti with popular film songs like choli ke peeche, mehndi hai rachnewali being used effectively. In fact special permission has been taken to use these numbers. What’s interesting is that though Imraan was attracted to Shabnam there was no marriage on the cards. Shabnam who is also interested in Imraan dithers over her decision to marry him. And as viewers kept guessing whether Shabnam would accept the proposal as Imraan’s house did not have a toilet they are now in for a pleasant surprise. Shabnam will now agree to marry Imraan as he will now get a toilet constructed in his house by sacrificing the money he would have spent on his wedding sherwani. Sources from the show inform that after the nikaah the newly wedded couple will actually inaugurate the toilet. And as this educational entertainment show continues to engage audiences on prime time it sure does give its competitors a run on the TRP charts. ( Last week Kyunki…pegged in an average TVR of 2.81) Viewers are invited for the mehndi ceremony on Oct 6 and the nikaah on Oct 7. Enjoy!
