It has been a long journey for Mandira Bedi -- from the curly haired debutante to the classy self made glamorous actress, a winding but promising journey that is getting better with every passing day. But the actress who has made her mark in a man's domain by hosting Extraa Innings on Max, still longs to be part of a show that can match the standards set by her debut vehicle Shanti.

"You know whenever people offer me roles; I tend to compare it with Shanti. It was such a different kind of a show, different from the saas-bahu stuff that's happening on television today. If Shanti happens again, then I will accept it with my eyes closed," says Mandira, who seems very excited about her Sahara One show, Dial One...
Talk about Shanti and her face lights up - "I have never been offered a role as great as Shanti," laments the actress. But is Shanti going to return, we ask - "Well, I have approached UTV, but it is still at a very nascent stage, I don't know where it will go from here," says Mandira, who is not yet ready divulge details about her proposed sequel to the trendsetting show.
Meanwhile, we ask her if she is making a comeback as the wily Mandira in Kyunki..., replacing Achint Kaur, and she laughs it off. "I was approached three months back. I was very surprised when a newspaper quite definitely announced my re-entry into the show, without me knowing about it! No, I am not coming back. It was not a good enough offer and moreover a character going in for a third plastic surgery was something that defied any logic...," says Mandira with a laugh!
Currently, busy with Fame Gurukul on Sony, Mandira is happy with what's on her plate - but she is ready to rock and roll for another go at her favourite show, Shanti!
