Star's flight Lt Monika is now Zee's 'Mamta'

Come this August, Flight lieutenant Monika in Star Plus' long running show, Saara Akash, will play Mamta in Shobhna Desai's new show on Zee, Mamta. Sai Deodhar, who played a flight Lt in Saara Akash, will be seen in a new avtar on Zee. She has played a determined journalist in Star One's Siddhanth, and now she is all set to show her stuff in Mamta. Sai, who has also signed Contiloe's Le Jayenge Le Jayenge, a romantic comedy, is known for her agressive no nonsense roles. Mamta, is an effort to reinvent herself as a viillage belle. "It's different role altogether. I play a 19 year girl who is full of life and this one is really different from the Saara Akash's Lt Monika. The character has varied shades in her life. Sometimes she is serene and at times she is very chirpy," says Sai. The channel, which has launched a number of new shows recently, is tightlipped about its latest venture, and all our efforts to get in touch with the concerned people went in vain.
