Sayantani Ghosh passed Mahesh Bhatt's item number offer

The latest buzz in the tellyland is that Sayantani Ghosh who is currently seen in Sony’s weekend series Adaalat was offered an item number from none other than Mahesh Bhatt. A source says, “Sayantani was approached by Mahesh Bhatt’s production house for an item number. They were keen on taking her for the song. Sayantani was suppose to go and meet Maheshji about this as well. However Sayantani couldn’t take up the offer due to her commitments on the television front," ends the source. When contacted Sayantani refused to elaboate any further, preferring to keep her lips zipped. “I don’t want to speak about what is not happening. I am currently looking forward to my upcoming show, Maa. I play the character of Pratibha, the protagonist who wants her estranged little daughter, back. This series is filled with lots of emotions and values which will keep the audience glued to the show. I am just focusing on this right now apart from anything else. Offers come and go. Its all luck and your hard work.” When asked if she would like to continue with her commitment to Adaalat, she replied that she is needed for only certain episodes. She added: "It is not a daily so I don’t think it will be difficult to fit it into my schedule, but right now my main focus is on Maa.” However, the fact is that Sayantani had to compromise her big screen venture in order to keep up with her small screen schedule. It worked out for her anyways, but let’s face it, who doesn’t want Bollywood! Whatever, we wish the former Naaginn all the luck!
