Nupur Alankar exits Diya Aur Baati Hum

Nupur Alankar who was part of Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum made a silent exit from the show a few days ago. Her character Kisna was introduced to get Sooraj (Anas Rashid) and Sandhya (Deepika Singh) together. However now that they are getting married on the show her character has been cut short. A source says, “Nupur was to play a Marwari lady on the show who gets the leads together. Her character was to make an entry after 10 or 12 episodes and last for a while since it was a cameo. However the story took a fast space and Nupur ji’s character had to make an early exit.” Nupur Alankar confirmed the same and said, “I was always aware that it was a cameo but I had no idea about it getting over this soon. However Shashi (Mittal – Producer Diya Aur Baati Hum) is an old friend and I enjoyed working with him.”
