Abhishek and Kanchi to quit Sasural Simar Ka

All's not well with the Colors' show Sasural Simar Ka. At least on the casting front, if sources are to be believed. Even as the series has been notching up good viewerhip ratings, some of the actors seem to be unhappy about the way their roles are developing and are all set to say ta-ta, according to these sources. According to unconfirmed reports, both Abhishek Sharma aka Sankalp and Kanchi Singh aka Cherry are expected to sign off from the show very soon. The buzz is that Abhishek and Kanchi’s tracks have not being going the way they were promised when they signed up. Abhishek, who plays Sankalp, was assured a role opposite Avika Gor aka Roli. Says a source: "The creative team, however, brought in Manish Raisinghani as Avika’s love interest leaving Abhishek clueless about his role. The sudden change in track did not go well with him and hence he put in his papers last month. Abhishek is currently serving his notice period and he will be out by end this month. As far as Kanchi’s role is concerned she has just become one of the side actors just helping Avika in and out of the house. Hence she too is quitting the show.” Abhishek was not available for comment but Kanchi admitted to Tellychakkar.com that she was quitting. She, however, denied that she was doing so because she is unhappy about the way her character has developed. "I have been offered a big project hence I decided to say good bye," she said. We shall take her word for it!!!
