After winning Bigg Boss 2 Ashutosh Kaushik had expressed a desire to take to acting as a career. His dream was to act with his idol Akshay Kumar. Forget Bollywood, the poor chap has hardly been seen on the screen post his Bigg Boss triumph. Most recently, he made news for drunk driving.
The Sahranpur lad returned to Mumbai two months ago and for the first time he gave an audition for a TV show but couldn’t clear it. Disappointed with the outcome he took too acting school the very next day.
Confirming the news, Ashutosh Kaushik says, “Yes, it’s true I’d auditioned for one of the characters in Bairi piya. The call came as a surprise. I wasn’t upbeat about it and so just gave the test for the sake of it. Even if they would have selected me, I would have probably snubbed them. However, it helped me realise that I had a long way to go before I could become an actor. That’s the reason why I enrolled myself in Mukesh Jadhav’s acting school. It’s been 13 days since I joined this school. Jadhav is a friend so he was more than ready to help me out.”
A source closely associated with Bairi piya, informs, “Yes, Ashutosh had auditioned for our show. I reckon it was for Sharad Kelkar’s brother. Unfortunately, Ashutosh somehow didn’t fit into our requirement. He isn’t the face that we’re looking for. Please don’t assume that he’s a bad actor.”
