'Pet' love on TV shows

From cats and dogs to monkeys to horses, and even elephants, animals have brought both levity and an emotional resonance to TV shows. Pets are very close to humans and we specially love watching them on TV shows. Some can talk and some can even walk, but surely all are smarter than an average human (wink wink). Here we bring you some pets and animals that played an important role in popular TV shows.

Elephant in  Bandhan  (Zee TV)

The baby Elephant played the brother of little Darpan and with its unique concept they also portrayed the warm relationship between the girl and the elephant.

Parrot in  Humsafars  (Sony TV)

Parrots and pigeons have always been the symbol of love and in the show Humsafars the parrot played a match maker between Arzoo (Shivya Pathania) and Sahir (Harshad Chopda).

Horse in  Maharana Pratap  (Sony TV) and  Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat  (Colors TV)

In both the shows Horses are the integral part of Pratap (Ssharad Malhotra) and Ashoka (Siddharth Nigam)’s lives. The horses are the savior for both the warriors in battlefield.

Cat in  Qubool Hai  (Zee TV)

It is believed that black cats are evil and in the show Qubool Hai the main antagonist Tanveer (Amrapali Dubey) had a black cat and both had their evil ways in the show.

Dog in  Chhanchhan Adaalat  and  Bigg Boss 7

Chhanchhan (Sanaya Irani) loved dogs and she named her Anarkali. She also threw a birthday bash for the pet.

In Adaalat they recently shot with Bruno, the Its Entertainment movie fame dog.

Bigg Boss season 7 had a dog named Heaven and the contestants used to take care of the canine.

Puppy in  Yeh Hai Mohabbatein

During the starting episodes of the show the makers introduced Mutthu (a puppy) to build a good relationship between Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) and Ruhi (Ruhaanika Dhawan).

Mahish in Yam Hai Hum

Yam Hai Hum has a buffalo in the show. When Yamraj and Chitragupt feel homesick, they make a short trip to Yamlok and bring Mahish, Yamraj’s buffalo to earth.
