Why Arbaaz Khan is not interested in making Salman Khan's biopic

Arbaaz Khan and Salman Khan

Biopics may be the flavour of the season in Bollywood. From Milkha Singh to Mary Kom to now Dhoni, biopics are catching on as the brand new trend in Bollywood. But guess one man is not in favour of biopics being made on any popular personality. And it happens to be Arbaaz Khan.

The producer today expressed his disapproval at biopics being made on people who are already popular. Explaining why he would never want to make a biopic on his superstar brother, Arbaaz said, "Biopic in my opinion should generally be made on those people about whose life not much is known. For instance, a Milkha Singh or Mary Kom. We didn't know much about their lives. But if someone who is already popular and everyone knows about his life then  I don't see a point in making a film on his life unless you are telling something new about that person. That is why I think Dhoni's biopic will be a big challenge for Neeraj Pandey and we all are excited to see what new will be showcased. Ideally, I feel biopic should be made on those whom the current generation doesn't know much about."

Arbaaz was speaking at the book launch of Dr. Vaidyanathan's book, 'Why not use some common sense.' Talking about his own flair for writing, Arbaaz said, " I have an inherent flair for writing and exercise it when I am working on my scripts. I have a big opinion and say in my movies. I don't accept what is completely given to me. There is always my intervention in my scripts. Salman too has a flair for writing and has written many dialogues for his films."
