Soni Singh dons a new avatar. She has been taken on board to portray a Vishkanya in Zee TV’s Jhansi Ki Rani. Soni singh who became a household name as Jhanvi of Ghar ki Lakshmi Betiyaan will now play the character of a Vishkanya named Shwetambara. Shwetambara is a Vishkanya who impersonates as a rajkumari on behest of Janki bai.. She will be presented by Jankibai as an ideal bride for Gangadhar. Janki bai stresses on the fact that Jhansi needs a Rani and since his kundali matches so perfectly with Shewtambra’s he should not waste time, Gangadhar Rao assents to the proposal of Shewtambra in the light of British policies and constant pressure of an heir but he bides his time by requesting Shwetambara to be part of his play as Maneka. Said an excited Soni Singh,” I’m thrilled about my new character. I think its going to be very exciting to play the role of a Vishkanya. I have been given a very exotic look replete with long curly hair, large kohl laden eyes and kundan jewellery to suit that era. I just pray that I’m successful in playing the character convincingly..”
