In conversation with little Ruhana ‘Gangaa’ Khanna

Ruhana Khanna is the new talent in tinsel town. She is a tough competition for other child wonders on Indian television, Ruhaanika Dhawan (Yeh Hai Mohabbatein) and Spandan Chaturvedi (Udann). The adorable doll, who is winning millions of hearts as Gangaa on &TV’s Gangaa, is indeed a very smart and talented child. In conversation with Tellychakkar.com, Ruhana shared her wishes and more about her character. Take a look: So tell us something about yourself? “I hail from Delhi and I also gave audition for this role there. Many kids had come for the audition but I got selected and I was very happy. Now we have shifted to Mumbai and I am in the second grade. Every day I bring my school books and my pet on the sets. So whenever I get time I study or else play with my cute dog.” On the set, whom do you have fun with? “On sets, I am the apple of everyone’s eye. Sushmita aunty is like my real dadi and she is very cute. I have a lot of fun with Hiten uncle and Gungun aunty. They all are very sweet,” shared the budding actress. You have to cry a lot in the show, do you like it? She quipped, “No, I hate crying scenes but as the script demands it, so I have to do it. While shooting in Banaras there were those sadhu babas and I got scared of them and started crying. So whenever there is scene where they want me to get scared or cry they just say that there is a sadhu on the set and I start crying! After the scene they hug me and make me comfortable and happy.” Do your teachers and classmate appreciate your work? “My teacher appreciates my work a lot, while classmates just hold me tightly and don’t leave me alone. Sometimes they also follow me and are always around me.” Who helps you on the set with your scenes? “Wasim sir (Director) helps me with all my dialogues. After reading the script he understands what is needed to be done and guides me accordingly.” Do you like wearing the same dress all day? “The dress is very boring and I hate wearing it. I wish to wear colourful clothes.” Your favourite game? "Skipping, football, hide and seek and stone paper scissor. I play with my mom, sister and with all my co-stars on the set.” Best of luck little, princess!!
