I am quite short tempered in real life: Vishal Aditya Singh

Vishal Aditya Singh

Vishal Aditya Singh is currently mesmerizing audiences with his rough and tough character Lakhan Thakur on &TV’s Begusarai. His character is an enigma. While he can be extremely cruel towards someone, he also loves his family a lot.

In a conversation with Tellychakkar.com, he spoke about his complex role and negative character. Take a look…

You are the angry young man of TV. So what inspired you to play a character like this?

I am quite short tempered. In fact, in real life too, I am like Lakhan! The only difference is that Lakhan doesn't think before doing anything but I do think and then take my decision. While portraying Lakhan I have learned to control my anger.

If you were not an actor, what would you be?

I was never too keen on becoming an actor. I was interested in Army and Navy and also cleared my exams.  Ashish Sharma (Rangrasiya actor) who is like my bother helped me a lot. He taught me acting and was my backbone.  I have learnt so much from director Ravindra Gautam. Not that it was necessary to take up acting but I got into it and felt that I should pick it up to know more about the skill and industry. There is still a very long way to go and I hope it continues to be a rocking one ahead.

Do negative comments affect you?

No not at all. In fact, I feel good that people like my acting. It is a kind of appreciation from my fans. My character is being loved by all and I hope they continue with it.

What are the qualities you are looking for in your soul mate?

Currently, I am single. And as such I have not thought of. But looks don’t matter to me. I just want a girl who can understand me and believe in me. I would like to be in a relationship in which there is mutual understanding and trust.

What is the one thing you need to change about yourself?

I am too lazy, I want to do a lot of things but I am so lazy that I don’t take them up. Like I am interested in dancing and I also want to learn to play the guitar but I don’t know what stops me from doing so.

How does your mother react to your fame?

The first thing she said was, "Gollu tu Gunda ban gaya!" but she is very happy with the kind of response my character is getting and I am happy too. My fame brings happiness on my mother’s face and I feel satisfied after seeing her smiling face.

What is the one thing you love about your character?

I love his intensity and determination. He is adamant about his decision and never backs out. Even I would love to adopt this quality in my real life.

We wish you good luck!
