Bajrangi Bhaijaan trailer is out and it’s AWESOME

There’s nothing mediocre about this Khan’s movies. Because, well, let’s face it, he is Salman Khan. Whether it’s beating the enemies to pulp with panache or innocently arguing with a Pakistani girl or chatting up the love of his life, Bhai delivers it with the swag and style that can’t be taught at any film school. The premise is simple. Salman is an ardent Hanuman-bhakt who meets a little girl (the cuteness overload Harshaali Malhotra), but since she can’t speak, he never realizes her Pakistani origin. And when he does, he vows to take her back to her motherland, come hell or high water. But there’s one glitch. He has to ferry the girl across the border without a visa or passport. WOW! In director Kabir Khan’s typical style, the trailer races across countries, seamlessly merging India and Pakistan, and capturing the beauty of Wagah Border and other breath-taking locales like a dream. It might be a patriotic saga, but it delivers the right punch, so we aren’t complaining. You can’t help but fall for the lovable bhakt Salman because he is equal measure sweet and equal parts smoldering as the dual personalities he brings alive on the big screen. Throw in the deadly Nawazuddin Siddiqui as a Pakistani reporter, and you have a potent, larger-than-life movie! Kareena Kapoor-Khan, looking ravishing in every scene, is the perfectl foil to Salman’s shy (Bajrangi) and feisty (Bhaijaan) avatars. Almost reminding us of their intense chemistry in Bodyguard. And Harshaali delivers her lines with her eyes alone, making you root for her throughout the trailer. Where was she all this while?! Salman’s kickass entry amid foot-tapping background score adds the right amount of masala to the proceedings. Because after all, it’s a Bollywood movie where the baddie loses to the hero. And yet, we can’t wait to watch the little girl being reunited with her family, with goons being killed left, right and center and Salman doing so while spouting one-liners. The movie solely belongs to Khan, because when peppered with his dashing personality, whistle-worthy dialogues (even when he calls Kareena 'Behenji'!) and signature dance moves, the movie looks like it’s scripted from his point of view. Which, of course, is the case of any Sallu movies. Please note, we aren't complaining about it one bit. Going by the trailer, we are sure that it’s not a preachy drama like his last outing, nor is it a Dabangg-esque crime saga. It’s a movie riding on emotions, friendship, loyalty, love, and most importantly, on human relations.
