I live in the present by taking in experiences from the past - Gaurav Mukesh

Gaurav Mukesh
Actor Gaurav Mukesh believes in keeping the people around him in happy and cheerful mood. Just like his on-screen character of Sharad in Star Plus' popular show Suhani Si Ek Ladki (Panorama Entertainment), he always attempts to be positive in life. Talk to Gaurav for a few minutes and you will feel a positive vibrancy already spreading… The ever-smiling Gaurav who hails from Gwalior came to Mumbai with a belief of making a name for himself as an actor. After doing few episodic roles, the interesting role of Sharad came his way in Suhani Si Ek Ladki. And there’s been no looking back for the actor, as he is enjoying what he is doing at the moment. Says Gaurav, “Sharad is a very nice character, especially because the man tries to make people around him smile and laugh. He’s one of the characters who has a connect with all in the family. In the same way, I can’t see people around me being sad in real life too.” Gaurav feels that he has a long road to traverse, but does not believe in planning ahead. “My motto is to live in the present by taking in experiences from the past, thereby making the future around us more beautiful.” The actor likes to keep to himself, and is not a party animal. Also, Gaurav believes that friendship is a sacred tag that cannot be given to one and all. “A friend is the one who can come to your help at any given hour and circumstance. A guy who would never take up responsibilities in friendship cannot be trusted. So I think a lot while making friends. Well, in the industry, one actor who is very close to me, and can be called my ‘any-hour’ friend will be Shashank Vyas. From the cast of my show, Rajshri Rani who portrays the role of Suhani and Ankur Verma aka Krishna are my dearest friends.” Gaurav is a typical foodie, even though a staunch vegetarian. “I love to experiment a lot with food, and I love to visit all kinds of hotels. Sweets are my favourite delicacies.” The actor has by now mastered the genre of comedy by playing Sharad in his show. Now, he will want to experiment with a new genre in his next. “My commitment is presently towards Suhani Si Ek Ladki, and I am enjoying my journey. However, in the near future, I will love to pick up a negative role, as we tend to get very much to play. Also, a romantic role is also welcome.” Gaurav is a firm believer in God, and feels that the power with which we do various things is an indication of God’s presence. Lastly, ask him whether he would prefer a good look or a better acting graph, he quips, “First of all, one needs to have lady luck by your side to attain success. One needs to be there at the right time, at the right place, with the right person for things to click. Looks and appearance do matter, but I believe that it is the impression that creates an ever-lasting stamp. If one has the right mix of luck, hard work and capabilities, the person will do well.” We wish you luck, Gaurav!!
