Veteran movie star Omar Sharif, known for his roles in movies like Lawrence of Arabia and Doctor Zhivago, has died aged 83.
Born in Egypt, the master actor won two Golden Globes and was also nominated at the Oscars for his role in Lawrence of Arabia.
He was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and died of a heart attack this afternoon in a hospital in Cairo.
RIP Omar.
