#BirthdaySpecial: Reasons why we miss Barun Sobti on TV!

Barun Sobti

Small screen’s most dashing actor, Barun Sobti, turns a year older today. The guy, who made arrogance sexy with his bad boy-turned-lover act in his most popular venture Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon (IPKKND), has been missing from our TV screens for a while now. On his special day, we tell you why his absence is killing his fans…read on:

Acting chops:

His effortless acting made him a popular star. In an industry that thrives on over-the-top drama, here was an actor who showed us ‘natural acting was in’ with his expressions alone. It also helped him that all his roles were power-packed so his talent could be recognized.

That lop-sided smile:

How can we get over his charming smile that could melt hearts in every country in the world? His popularity with the girls was such that when he exited IPKKND, the show had to be taken off air. In TV parlance, he was as big as they came. So, it’s but natural to want him back on our screens. Isn’t it, fans?

His crackling chemistry with his co-stars:

Whether it was his smoking combo with Sanaya Irani or the lovable banter with Ankita Sharma, he owned the scenes he was in. May be it was his natural charisma or the script’s demands, whatever it was, Barun set the screen ablaze with his chemistry with the co-stars. How sorely are you missing him? *sigh*.

Dream dialogue delivery:

Whenever he delivered lines to his heroines, we actually thought he was talking to us. Isn’t it? Perhaps that’s why girls across the country pushed their guys to speak and emote like Barun. We miss his endearing presence and his tantalizing voice on TV. He. Must. Come. Back.

Good looks:

There's no denying the fact that the actor is insanely good looking. Just look at him, will you! We know he quit TV to spend time with his family, but that's rather selfish of him... because we want to watch him on our TV screens too. It would do him and us a world of good if he took up an offer soon.

Here’s wishing TV’s original cool dude an amazing birthday! *Also hoping to see our favorite actor on the small screen soon*
